# `Unicode.String.Break.Word`
[🔗](https://github.com/elixir-unicode/unicode_string/blob/v2.4.1/lib/unicode/string/break/word.ex#L1)

Deprecated. Use `Unicode.String.Dfa.Word` instead. This module is removed
in 2.5.0.

This module implemented the annex by hand. Segmentation is now driven by the
state machine tables published in PRI #555, and this module delegates to the
engine generated from them. Its behaviour is unchanged; only the module name
has moved.

Neither module is the supported interface. `Unicode.String` is the API to
prefer, and it is unaffected by this change.

# `break?`

> This function is deprecated. Use Unicode.String.Dfa.Word.break?/2 instead. Removed in 2.5.0.

Returns `true` when a boundary falls between the two strings.

# `next`

> This function is deprecated. Use Unicode.String.Dfa.Word.next/1 instead. Removed in 2.5.0.

Returns `{segment, rest}`, or `nil` when `string` is empty.

# `split`

> This function is deprecated. Use Unicode.String.Dfa.Word.split/1 instead. Removed in 2.5.0.

Splits `string` into segments.
